TIME MACHINE | JAN2012
I was going to make a mix of my favourite songs of 2011, but after spending far too much time mulling over my favourite albums, I decided that a better use of my time would be spent on do things like getting groceries, shaving and other menial, but kind of important tasks.
Besides, I had already put together this mix for my friends back home (as a sort of musical Christmas card, that was not Christmassy at all… and even got sent after Christmas) and a lot of my favourite songs from the past year are on this mix. Now, a few of these songs are not from 2011, and this mix could never properly represent my favourite songs of 2011 as there are some major omissions, but if you were to listen to this mix and then fill in the blanks by also listening to my ‘Favourite Albums of 2011’ mix on 8tracks, and listening to ‘Is It Done’, then you’d have a pretty good idea of what my headphones sounded like in 2011.
Of course, to get the truest idea of what my headphones sounded like last year, you’d also need to listen to these HI54LOFI RECORDS releases. But if you listen to all of that, and if you happen to watch more reality tv than you’d like to admit, then you’d be left with a pretty close idea to what the inside of my head sounds like.
